Kevin Scott Richardson was born on 3 October 1971 in Lexington, Kentucky, USA. Scott Richardson is a producer of acclaimed filmmaker Kevin Willmott's upcoming independent feature Bunker Hill, starring James McDaniel (NYPD Blue), Saeed Jaffrey (Gandhi), Laura Kirk, Kevin Geer, Blake Robbins, Scott Allegrucci and singer/songwriter Kelley Hunt. He is also a producer on The Only Good Indian, Willmott's upcoming feature starring Wes Studi (Avatar, The Only Good Indian).
For television, Richardson produced three History Channel specials between 2001 and 2005: High-Tech Lincoln, about the new Lincoln Presidential Library; The Mystery of Jesse James, the pilot episode for the Bill Kurtis series Investigating History; and Inside The Presidency: Eisenhower Vs. Nixon, narrated by Roger Mudd.
On stage, Richardson produced the premiere performance of Now Let Me Fly, a new play by Marcia Cebulska commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Brown v. Board of Education decision to segregate public schools. The performance was directed by Willmott and featured actors James McDaniel, Roger Aaron Brown (The District) and Yolanda King, and musical performers Queen Bey and Kelley Hunt.
Since 1995, Richardson has written and consulted for a wide range of companies and organizations including A&E Network, Lifetime Television, Court TV, AMC, We TV, IFC, Southwestern Bell / SBC, Media Link and The Eisenhower Presidential Center. He regularly collaborates with environmental artist Stan Herd, and his writing has been published in The New York Times Magazine.
From 1990 until 1995, Richardson worked at A&E Television Networks, where he was most recently Vice President, Public Affairs and Communications. From 1988 until the end of 1990, he was with ABC News in New York, first on the staff of World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, and later as Manager, News Information.
From 1979 until 1988, Richardson worked in Washington DC, the first six years a press aide to Senator Bob Dole, and later as a media consultant.
During the fall semester of 2006, Richardson was a Fellow at The University of Kansas' Dole Institute of Politics. He is a former member of the board of directors for the Cable Television Public Affairs Association and The National Cooperative Business Foundation. Scott Richardson was born in Valdese, North Carolina to his his Father and Mother, Randy and Cynthia Richardson. They lived in a small Southern town for 7 years but after his father became disabled they moved closer to family in rural Maine. Once there, Scott took an interest in performing and the arts and began participating in various local theater productions. After finding his passion in acting, he ending up working as an Actor in multiple successful productions at the Historical Rochester Opera house and other playhouses in New England. He did this for a few years but having always had a love for film he moved to working as an extra in local student films and shorts. Eventually landing leading rolls in short indie films such as Doll house (2018) and Leap of Faith (2017).
